An Emirati passport already gets you almost everywhere without a visa. The Schengen area, the UK, most of Asia and Latin America – all visa-free or a stamp on arrival. Canada added the UAE to its eTA programme a few years back, so even that one is a short online form rather than a full application. The United States is the outlier. There's no visa waiver here, whatever else the passport can do – a B1/B2 visa still means an interview, and the interview still means describing a specific trip.
Australia is the other exception. UAE nationals aren't on its ETA or eVisitor list, so every visit – holiday, business, family – is a subclass 600 visa application filed online, the same as it would be for a much weaker passport.
Buying the actual fare before either of those decisions lands is the expensive way round. A US interview date is issued months out, and a subclass 600 decision has its own timeline. A name that doesn't line up with the passport
Whatever name is used day to day, the one on the application has to match the passport's data page exactly – same spelling, same order, nothing shortened or dropped.
Assuming a visa-free trip means no questions at all
Not needing a visa isn't the same as not needing proof. An airline can hold a passenger at check-in over a missing return ticket, and a border officer can ask the same question on arrival.
A trip that reads differently from the hotel booking or invitation
